    Господа, а как это вы забыли про backports.org ? Основное же хранилище всякого добра ;) Включая xorg, kde и прочие радости жизни...
    Кроме того есть репозитарий linex - который linux extremadura, оно же слегка доработаны sarge, но в репозитарии есть бэкпорты gnome 2.12 (на бэкпортах надеюсь скоро тоже будет)
    Жабу запросто можно поставить имея .bin с санок и пакет java-package (что-то типа fakeroot make-jpkg suj-j2re....bin )
    Мы тут тоже малек все обсосали... ;)
